Starry Nights, and Friendly Neighbors.

Every winter the biggest park in Memphis, Shelby Farms,
has an event called Starry Nights.
It's $20 a car, and you can drive through the park and look at the light displays.
I'll admit it the light displays aren't that great and I'm not sure that it's worth
the $20. But in the middle of the drive, you can stop at "Mistletoe Village"
There is a free fire pit, and truck where you can buy hot cocoa and a smores kit for the
fire pit, some shops, a petting zoo ($3) and camel rides ($5)

My husband and I went Saturday night along with our neighbors,
and naturally April and I had to ride the camel and go in the petting zoo (There was a kangaroo!).
And also a snow machine, which as you could tell by the pictures baffled me.
We had a great time and I would recommend the Mistletoe Village to anyone.
I wish there was a way to get there without paying the $20.

Halloween.

I know it's been a while since I've posted.
Everything has just been so chaotic with my husband in school, and my recent promotion
at work.

But I did want to share my pictures from Halloween!
My husband and I took his little sisters to a haunted house, and we
all dressed up.
They went as zombies, and I went as Robin Hood.
I told my mom what I planned on being for Halloween, and
she immediately offered to make my costume.
She's extremely creative and talented, and I am not, so naturally I let her do it.
The result was fantastic!

I also got to see my favorite little man, my 15 month old nephew Deegan.
Isn't he precious?

Did any of you dress up for Halloween?

Mel.
